More facts emerged yesterday on why the suspended House of Representatives Lawmaker, Hon. Farouk Lawan has failed to submit the marked $620,000 he collected from the Chairman of Zenon Oil, Mr. Femi Otedola before the police Special Task Force (STF) probing panel.
“Daily Post” gathered from a lawmaker who preferred anonymity that why the marked dollars was difficult to present by Lawan to the panel was because it had been shared by some top officers in the House.
Lawan appeared at the police force headquarters in Abuja yesterday again, he was grilled for another one hour and he would re-appear before the panel tomorrow according to a police source.
The police source added “the panel was upset yesterday that Lawan failed to produce the bribe money”.
Meanwhile, the police panel will today interrogate the chairman of the house committee on financial crime; Adams Jagaba of the alleged $620,000.
It was learnt that Lawan mentioned Jagada’s name as one of the lawmaker who knows the whereabout of the marked dollars.
