“In 2013, Nollywood Stars Need To Come For Deliverance After Acting” – Pastor Chris C. Godwin

2012 recorded some tragic incidents in Nollywood, like the deaths of Ashley Nwosu, Enebeli Elebuwa, Pete Eneh, etc. As we prepare to cross over into 2013, hoping for fresh beginnings, Pastor Chris C. Godwin, has sent out a warning that it might just get worse next year. “Hello my brethren, by the special grace of God, I am Pastor Chris C. Godwin, the president of World Missionary Assistance Nigeria and the Shepherd of Fire House Ministries Lagos. I am writing to the media based on what I have foreseen coming up against the film industry of this our beloved Nation, of which if care is not taken, big calamity will befall this growing industry,” he said. “The devil is fighting this film industry very well, most of these actors end up behaving and living what they acted in films, which is not suppose to be. After acting a particular film, no film is ordinary, there is a spirit behind every film you act, and every life you expose, every society you expose, every deity you expose.”

‘In fact, things have got worse since you became governor’ – Lori-Ogbebor rejects Uduaghan’s Christmas gift

A prominent traditional chief in Delta State, Rita Lori-Ogbebor has rejected the Christmas gifts sent to her by the state government. Lori-Ogbebor wrote the governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan,  an open letter  stating the reasons why the gifts were rejected. She went on to express her dissatisfaction at the achievements of the Uduaghan administration. She stated that she returned the cow, rice and other gifts due to the government’s neglect of many parts of Itsekiriland with no plan for its development. Her letter read in part: “By now, you already know my stand on the way you run the administration of Delta State. I feel unhappy and depressed to see the state and Itsekiriland declining from the time you assumed office. “I have spoken to you as a mother to a son. Itsekiri riverine areas are declining educationally and economically. The way our land is today shows no planning or foresight. There is no creation of jobs, neither is there adequate security of lives and property. For ma

Calabar International Carnival, Huge Success

The 2012 edition of one of Africa’s biggest street carnivals, the Calabar Carnival, lived up to expectations as it attracted more foreign tourists who visited Calabar for the carnival. Calabar Carnival is gradually matching up to the standard big carnivals like the Nottinghill Carnival in the UK and the Rio Carnival in Brazil have set. Even with absence of the ailing governor of the state, Liyel Imoke, Calabar Carnival didn’t fail to hold as the atmosphere around the streets of Calabar was lively. Top Africa’s pay-TV provider, DSTV did a live broadcast of the event. Both local and international media had their reporters covering the carnival. Brazilian Sampa performed on the stage right before the performance of TRINADAD AND TOBAGO who used drums and acoustics to play many local tunes. 2012 CALABAR INTERNATIONA CARNIVAL is great fun filled event that truly worths all the troubles and roads closed to allow the processions of the entertainers. "Men Use Me For Séx,But I'm Too Fat For Love" - Girl Seeks Help

I spent a miserable time in the run-up to Christmas because I slept with my best friend’s brother whose girlfriend is pregnant. It nearly ruined our friendship too.  I do not want to come across as desperate or sleep with other girl’s men but I am scared no-one will ever want me.  I am 28 and single. I would love nothing more than a nice guy. My friends say I am attractive, that I have a great personality and a lot going for me, so why can’t men see this?  I am overweight but that doesn’t alter me inside. Men just cannot see through the weight issue, and those that do show an interest only see me in secret. They come to my house late at night, and ignore me if we meet in the street.  Just yesterday I got a text from a married guy I know. I invited him around last night and we had séx. It was fun but I know he’s not even thinking of leaving his wife for me.  I have tried internet dating but once I meet the guys they either want séx or I never hear from them again. I send them photos, t

Nollywood Actor, Kanayo .O. Kanayo now a Pastor

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo.O.Kanayo is now a pastor. I’m sure you’re as surprised as i am.  I saw the actor’s photo on a church banner where he was mentioned as one of the ministers in a 3-day spiritual programme,. That means he’s now born again.  It seems a lot of Nollywood stars who retire from the industry end up in politics, music or pastoral duties. It’s great that he chose to touch the lives of others.

29-year-old man in Lagos continues making love to lady even after she dies

A 29-year old man, going by the name Nura Mustapha, is currently explaining to homicide detectives at the State Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, why he was allegedly caught having sex with the corpse of a lady identified as Faith Akin. Mustapha was arrested early in March after an attendant at the Green Star Hotel, Alaba-Rago, raised an alarm that he would not allow the corpse to be retrieved. Police officers identified the corpse of the lady as Faith Akin, a resident of Ondo State, who visited her mother in Lagos. “We have a lot of customers coming with different girls to the hotel. But on that fateful day, Mustapha came in about 5.00 pm and booked the room; after about 9.00pm, he brought in this lady and they stayed the night,” said the hotel attendant. “Early the next day, before I would hand over to the morning staff, I went round to check the rooms; that was how I saw the lady lying down. I went to touch her but there was no response; I called

Mario Balotelli Is Glad That I’m Dating His Sister – Martins

OBAFEMI MARTINS & ABIGAIL BARWUAH ON A PRIVATE JET TRIP FOR THE HOLIDAYS It is no longer news that Nigeria’s weapon of mass destruction, Obafemi Martins, is dating Abigail Barwuah, Mario Balotelli’s elder sister – what is news however is the speculation that the Manchester City ‘bad boy’ is unhappy about the pair dating. However, Martins, who once played with Balotelli at Inter’s youth team in Milan, Italy, has dismissed such insinuations with a wave of the hand. “Mario is my boy”, he started. “The respect is there because I used to play at Inter, in the youth team with him. He’s giving me my respect and I’m doing same. People are putting it in the news that he’s upset, of course he’s glad. “He’s glad that Obafemi Martins is dating his sister. But if he gets jealous then it means he doesn’t want his sister to grow. But it’s not like that. The boy is not a bad boy” Martins insisted. He also disclosed that for now, marraige is not on the cards as he and Abigail haven’t d

My Condolence, Mr President

By Dele Momodu Your Excellency, when I wrote my last letter to you about three weeks ago, little did I realise I was going to write another so soon.  But events of the past two weeks have happened so rapidly, and in such dramatic fashion, that it left me with no choice than to come back to you, anon, Sir. I believe the first thing to do is to once again commiserate with you on the death of fellow Nigerians in that fatal helicopter crash. It is always sad, sombre and sobering when we witness such tragedy of monumental proportions in our clime. The loss of any soul, no matter the religious persuasion or ethnic background is always an occasion for  collective mourning and abstemious reflections.  On a personal note, I was absolutely shattered even if I did not have a close relationship with any of the unfortunate victims. I was a great fan of Lt. General Owoye Azazi, in particular, after the brilliant speech he gave at his controversial outing in Delta State, where he lampooned

Denrele Edun and Rukky Sanda's Trek of Life at Koko Concert

Our paparazzi were there too. Couldn't believe how far they had to walk to the venue from where their cars were parked. It was unbelievable but kinda fun to watch all the celebrities trekking and complaining.

Rihanna’s Nude Photos

Rihanna was in her native country of Barbados last week to spend the holidays with her family. While on the balcony of her hotel with the curtains wide open, Rihanna took off her bikini to put on her underwear. There were paparazzi lurking around (which she was probably aware of) and they zoomed in their camera and captured Rihanna in all her glory. The nude photos have been released. I have a feeling Rihanna won’t mind. Hehe! Find them after the cut…then beg God for forgiveness. Source:GistPage

Yobo Replies Odemwingie Over Twitter Comments

LAGOS (AFP) – Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo has lashed out at Peter Odemwingie for being disrespectful after the West Bromwich Albion striker said the country does not have a team leader. Odemwingie said via Twitter that recent Eagles captains have only looked out only for themselves and so the team lack a leader. Yobo has now hit back at his national teammate, who was sensationally dropped from the squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa “Osaze has been reckless, disrespectful to most people. He’s not a kid, he should grow up because we cannot continue to baby sit him. He is responsible for his problems,” Yobo told Lagos radio Brila FM on Friday. “This is not the first time he has been disrespectful. He is fighting all the coaches and at the World Cup he also disrespected me and he later apologised. “He is not the (Lionel) Messi or (Cristiano) Ronaldo of Nigeria. He should look himself in the mirror.” The Fenerbache star gave credit to coach Stephen Keshi for the p

Hollywood Deaths In 2012

Every year the film world loses more of its luminaries, and 2012 was no different. Though more exciting new talent emerges every year, it is a poorer place for the loss of these writers, actors, directors and designers who made a visit to the cinema something wonderful. Top Gun... Tony Scott (Credit: Wenn) Tony Scott (1944 - 2012) Tony Scott's crowd-pleasing filmography sits at stark odds with the tragic circumstances of his death. Born in North Shields and brother of fellow director Ridley Scott, he took his own life by jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles on August 19.  His death rocked the movie world, particularly as he was poised to make a sequel to his 1986 smash 'Top Gun' with Tom Cruise. He had been scouting locations just days before his death.  But Scott will be remembered for a slew of hits, from 'True Romance' and 'Beverly Hills Cop II' to 'Days of Thunder' and 'The Last Boy Scout'.
