A number of schools have closed in protest of the government's inability to find the more than 200 schoolgirls who were abducted in Chibok on 14 April.
Fox News reports that teachers in Maiduguri are fed up and "can no longer tolerate government insensitivity to the plight of the girls and the education sector".
According to the report, protesters in Abuja who requested an explanation from President Goodluck Jonathan at the presidential villa were instead met by one of his officials who told them the president was not home.
Aljazeera reports that the UN Security Council has decided to blacklist Boko Haram who are responsible for abducting the schoolgirls from their hostel.
