HOA Star Phaedra Parks Headed to the Slammer?

She’s all glitz and glamour on “Housewives of Atlanta,” but we wonder what she’d look like in prisoner blues. HOA cast member Phaedra Parks is reportedly facing jail time unless she steps forth and answers repeated calls for her deposition in her defamation case against her former friend, Angela Stanton.

Parks sued Stanton two years ago, claiming that she defamed her in “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil,” which Stanton released as an e-book. In the book, Stanton claims that Parks and her were involved in criminal activities that included “fraudulent bank account, insurance checks, fake IDs, chop shops, stolen cars, fraudulent titles, fraudulent registration cards.” Around the time of the book’s release, Parks husband Apollo Nida was actually arrested and charged with schemes similar to the ones mentioned in Stanton’s book. To this day, Parks has not been accused of anything by law enforcement. Nida is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to fraud and identity theft. A judge has issued an order that Parks must complete a deposition within 45 days or be in contempt of court, which generally results in lock up. According to Stanton’s attorneys, Parks has refused repeated requests for her deposition with “excuses, refusals and empty promises…” The order, issued on June 19, says that Parks must schedule the deposition by July 4 and completed it by August 3.
