The former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo has confessed that he is still missing his late wife Stella.
The Nation reports that on Sunday, October 24, the ex-president took part in the 10th memorial service for the late Stella at the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
“I won’t say much about her today because much had been written already in my tribute about my late wife in the book, ‘My Watch’ and part of it says, she will be dearly missed by me, my family and the Abebe family,” Obasanjo said.
John Abebe, who spoke on behalf of the Abebe family, also said their sister and daughter would be greatly missed.
Segun Oni, the deputy national chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the south, was among those who attended the event. He described the late Stella as a quintessential woman, who was born and raised in a family reputed for its humility and integrity.
Speaking with journalists, Oni said that his close interaction with the Abebe family gave him insight into the late Stella Obasanjo whose pedigree could not be over-emphasized.
Pastor Yussuf Obaje described Stella as an epitome of womanhood and urged the family to continue to keep her legacy alive.
The memorial service titled “Keep her memory alive” was attended by Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Governor Ibikunke Amosun of Ogun state, Funso Kupolokun, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce among others.
Stella Obasanjo died a few weeks before her 60th birthday from complications after cosmetic surgery at a private health clinic in Spain, on October 23, 2005.

Yes, it actually took place in Nigeria, Lagos, a city where everything seems possible. When Chinyere, 18, decided to leave her mother in Abia State and pay her father, John Awah, a visit in Lagos, she must have been longing for a tender loving care, which fathers give their children. But she surely did not bargain for what she eventually ended up with – steamy sex sessions with her father. Upon her arrival, her father was shocked to his bone marrow that his daughter who left him when she was a year old, had suddenly grown to a full girl, and he suddenly fell in love with her. Awah said: “I became attracted ...
