Sunny Okosun’s son arrested over involvement in Nkiru Sylvanus’ kidnap

The abduction of Miss Nkiru Sylvanus, Nollywood actress and the special assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha on Public Affairs, last December for which the state government reportedly paid a ransom of N8 million to secure her release, may have been an insider job.

Daily Sun reliably gathered that Mr. Jerry Okosun, director-general, Youths and Students Affairs to Governor Okorocha is currently being detained by the Imo State Police Command over his alleged involvement in the kidnap saga.

Jerry, who is the son of the late legendary musician, Sunny Okosun and had facilitated the negotiation between the kidnappers and Miss Slyvanus’ family was said to have been implicated by text massages allegedly exchanged between him and the abductors, who collected N8 million as ransom from the Sylvanus family.

Reliable source close to the Government House hinted Daily Sun that the bubble burst after a top government official tipped the police on the involvement of the governor’s aide in the abduction. Although Okosun was not among the suspects earlier paraded by the police, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Vitalis Onugu, confirmed his arrest. The PPRO, however, said it had not been established if he was actually culpable in the crime.

Snoop Lion excommunicated from the Rastafari Community, according to Bunny Wailer! Bunny has always had his doubts about Snoop Lion ‘s intent and now his skepticism has taken an even stronger stance, that of excommunication. Recently Snoop Lion has struggled to convince the Rastafari and Reggae community that he is sincere about his profession of, and transition to the faith, principles and beliefs of Rastafari.
