It looks like Han Solo will return in Episode VII.
When it comes to 'Star Wars' casting news, this is the big one. We've heard the rumours for a long while and have speculated about their accuracy, but it seems that Harrison Ford will be returning to the Star Wars universe in the highly anticipated 'Episode VII'. In an interview with WGN9 News while promoting his latest film, Harrison revealed that the rumours about his comeback might not be rumours after all…
Watch the interview here - keep an eye out for the moment Ford realises what he might have said.
Asked if the 'old gang' would be getting back together for 'Star Wars 7', Ford was happy to add fuel to the fire. "I think it's almost true," he replied. "I'm looking forward to it… it's not in the bag yet, but I think it's happening."

Almost true? Despite the somewhat vague nature of his reply, I think that's about as big a confirmation as we're going to get for the time being. But coming from the man himself, I'd say that it's pretty much guaranteed. Of course, the initial rumours surfaced last month when the Latino Review revealed that Harrison had been in talks about reprising his role. Since then the rumours have come thick and fast, but when you consider that Carrie Fisher has already let the cat out of the bag, this is starting to look like a certainty.
So does this mean that the rest of the original cast will be joining Harrison on set? I think it's safe to say that if Harrison Ford is on-board, then both Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will be there too. They've already been in talks with George Lucas about reprising their roles, so I have to admit it's looking good. But what does this mean for 'Episode VII'?
It looks like Lucasfilm has invested a lot of time and energy into recruiting the old gang… but will they be the main focus of the new film? Or will their triumphant return simply usher in a new age for the 'Star Wars' saga? While it's tempting to wish for more of the good old days, I really hope their involvement is minimal… after all, Han Solo might have been the fastest gun in the galaxy back then, but now he's more likely to put his back out.
Do you think bringing back the original actors is a good idea? Will Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher make their 'Star Wars' comeback?
