We are battle ready for Boko Haram – OPC leader, Gani Adams

The national coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Chief Gani Adams has warned that if the Jama’atu Ahlus Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram Boko Haram extends its attacks into the South West region, the situation would be met with force by battle-ready members of his OPC.

Gani said this recently when the Yoruba Unity Forum (YUF) met in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State to discuss issues that concern Yoruba nation and the country in general especially the bombings and shedding of blood in the North and took measures to prevent its spread to the South-West geo-political zone.
The OPC leader who dispelled the fear being nursed about radical sect striking in the region assured the people of the South-West that his men are on red alert and will make the zone impenetrable for terrorists.
Also speaking during the meeting, the convener of YUF and Yeye Oodua, Chief (Mrs) HID Awolowo said: “Without mincing words and if we are not going to deceive ourselves, the security situation in the nation horrifies an average Nigerian. When you go out, your families are apprehensive about when you will come back home. When children go out, their parents are seized by apprehension about when they will return.
“This is why we called this meeting. A lot of bombings go on unabated in the northern part of the country and all hands must be on deck to avert its spread to the South-West region. Regrettably, our people who reside and ply their trade in the northern part of the country have also fallen victims in the killings in the North,” she said, while emphasising the need for unity among the Yoruba people for the advancement of the race.
In his words, Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, charged the Yoruba throughout the world to come together so as to guard against the relegation of the race among the ethnic groups in the country.
He said: “Yoruba is a highly placed nation and we must not allow anyone or group of people to demote our standing. We must stop begrudging one another. This is common among us. But it is unhelpful. It should stop in the interest of the development of the Yoruba nation and its people,” the royal father said.
The epoch-making event was attended by many sons and daughters of Yoruba from all walks of life.

Snoop Lion Excommunicated From The Rastafari Community

Snoop Lion excommunicated from the Rastafari Community, according to Bunny Wailer! Bunny has always had his doubts about  Snoop Lion ‘s intent and now his skepticism has taken an even stronger stance, that of excommunication. The news was broken via his  Facebook  profile and via  press release . Recently Snoop Lion has struggled to convince the Rastafari and Reggae community that he is sincere about his profession of, and transition to the faith, principles and beliefs of Rastafari. Most doubtful is Bunny Wailer the only living member of the original Wailer. ‘ Excommunication is a religious censure used to deprive, suspend, or limit membership in a religious community or to restrict certain rights within it. Some groups use the term disfellowship instead, ‘ stated Bunny’s official release.
