The Supreme Court on Tuesday conferred on Akwa Ibom State, the ownership of the 76 oil wells along the Atlantic Ocean, ruling that Cross River State has lost its claim to being a littoral state. The governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Godswill Akpabio and federal lawmakers from the state have applauded the judgement of the Supreme Court which declared the state as the owner of 76 oil wells in the Atlantic ocean.
