DANA CORONER: JUDGE THREATENS TO ARREST AIRLINE OFFICIALS

The Coroner, sitting over inquiry into the June 3 crash of Dana Airline in Lagos, Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe, has threatened to order the arrest of the airline officials if they failed to appear before it at the next sitting.

Komolafe, who commenced an inquest into the crash, condemned the failure of the airline officials to appear before the court.

He said: “I don’t think Dana Air is here. The Sheriff has been to its office several times, to serve the company but without success.

“Don’t forget, if you are summoned and failed to come, you can be arrested. A publication had also been made so that no one will claim not to know what we are doing.

“Nigerians should come forward and testify. They shouldn’t hold anything back so that we can have a safer airspace. It has happened to some people and we don’t want it to happen again.” Source News Agency of Nigeria
