It was very loud at Ikot Obong in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Friday, 29th of March, 2013 as Engr. Nkereuwem Asuquo Ayara (Ukoyen) of FERMA from Ikot Ndien, Edemaya and Princess Ekamma E. Akpanowo from Ikot Obong agreed to live together as husband and wife for the rest of their lives. The traditional ceremony chaired by a popular philanthropist in the area, Obong Archibong Umoh paraded la crème de la crème in Akwa Ibom State and environs.

The solemnization of the holy matrimony took place at The Salvation Army, Ikot Obong Ibekwe Corps on Sunday 31st March 2013. Reception followed at ALSCON Access Road Football Field, Ikot Abasi.
