Emerging reports have it that youths have stormed the streets of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to protest the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra by the Department of State Security Service (DSS).
According to TVC, the youths marched towards the Rivers State Government House but were prevented from gaining access by stern looking security men.
The protest is said to have halted commercial services in the city as the youths, armed with placards and Biafran flags condemn what they described as injustice and an impediment of the right to freedom of speech.
It would be recalled that Kanu was arrested in Lagos on Saturday, October 17, 2015, but was granted bail on Monday, October 19, 2015.
We are yet to ascertain if the bail conditions have been met.
