There was indication yesterday that Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, may have been flown to Germany for another medical trip.
According to Sahara Reporters, the First Lady was flown out of the country discreetly.
The medium claimed that Mrs. Jonathan had kept a low profile several weeks before her movement to a German hospital.
“She has not been in good health for a while now,” a source close to the Jonathan family reportedly said.
The agency also quoted another source as saying, “Nigerians are paying for her treatment and deserve the courtesy of being informed about her movement.”
The Presidency, however, denied the report.
The First Lady’s spokesman, Mrs. Ayotunde Adesugba, while reacting to the report told Punch that it was false and baseless.
Adesugba said she left the President’s wife in the Presidential Villa a few minutes before speaking with a correspondent at around 9pm on Saturday.
“There is no truth in the report. I just left her in the office now,” she said.
