The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday 18th and Monday 21st of April, 2014 as Public Holidays to mark "Good Friday" and Easter celebrations.
The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Fatima Bamidele on Wednesday (today).
He enjoined all Christian faithfuls and Nigerians in general to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity in the country.
The statement further urged Nigerians to continue supporting and co-operating with President Goodluck Jonathan in his efforts to build a peaceful, united and virile nation.
