A man who volunteered as a firefighter, is in a lot of trouble.
John Corcoran, 20, of Glenolden, Pennsylvania, was arrested on charges of arson after he set fires so that he can help put them out.
During the investigation into his actions, investigators learned that he was sexually abusing children and recording the acts, which he then uploaded to the Internet.
Corcoran was arrested again and he is now facing 161 counts of sex abuse.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan called Corcoran a “sick and disturbed young man,” who is accused of luring neighborhood kids and grooming at least 12 victims, ranging in age from 8 to 14, for sexual activity.
Authorities said that Corcoran showered the children with gifts before he raped, molested and made child pornography with them.
Corcoran is accused of sexually assaulting victims several times over two years.
Most of the alleged crimes happened in the home that Corcoran shares with his parents. Some of the crimes also occurred in the Ridley YMCA.
Neither the parents nor the YMCA were aware of the crimes, Whelan said.
Corcoran is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
