IN continuation of its ongoing operation to dislodge Boko Haram terrorists from the North-East, troops of the Nigerian Army conducted offensive operations between 4.00 p.m and 8.00 p.m in Konduga area of Borno State, on Wednesday, killing over 60 terrorists.
After the attack, military hardware recovered from the insurgents included 13 AK-47 rifles, five Rocket Propelled Gun (RPGs) tubes, two General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), one Anti-Aircraft Gun and two Ford Ranger pick-up vehicles.
According to a statement from the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Olajide Laleye, the Nigerian Army troops did not suffer any casualty. According to the statement, “morale of troops remains very high. Further details will be communicated accordingly.”
He said that the troops were determined to frustrate the desperate effort of the terrorists against Konduga and its environments.
