Explosion Rocks Viewing Center In Yobe

Explosion has reportedly rocked the football viewing center in Damaturu, Yobe State. According to Reuters, the tragedy occurred on Tuesday soon after the World Cup game, Brazil vs Mexico, kicked off around 8 pm. Channels TV reports that scores of people are feared dead. The injured were said to have been rushed to the nearby hospitals. No specific figures regarding deaths have been provided at the time of filing this report. However, Osun Defender refers to the medical sources in hospitals stating that they are reporting casualties. State police commissioner confirmed the incident to AFP saying: "There was an explosion outside a soccer viewing centre here in Damaturu at around 8:15 pm. Our men have deployed to the scene but it’s too early for us to give details." The site has been reportedly cordoned off. UPDATE: A member of the medical staff of Sani Abacha Specialists Hospital in Damaturu told Channels TV that he had already counted 7 corpses and added that 15 other people were in critical condition. UPDATE 2: PM News source at the same hospital said they had received 21 dead bodies and 27 injured people. The source that pleaded anonymity added: "The victims are young men and children. They have burns, ruptured tissue and bone fractures." It would be recalled that on June 11, a day before the Mundial start, the Nigerian police claimed they would enhance surveillance in viewing venues to protect football fans. Adamawa State officials even banned football viewing centers at all following the advice by the military. On May 24 three people were killed in the suicide bomber attack on the football spot in Jos, Plateau State, where fans were watching the finals of UEFA Champions League. Earlier that year, in April, another venue in Yobe was attacked by gunmen, who left two people dead and many injured.

Snoop Lion Excommunicated From The Rastafari Community

Snoop Lion excommunicated from the Rastafari Community, according to Bunny Wailer! Bunny has always had his doubts about  Snoop Lion ‘s intent and now his skepticism has taken an even stronger stance, that of excommunication. The news was broken via his  Facebook  profile and via  press release . Recently Snoop Lion has struggled to convince the Rastafari and Reggae community that he is sincere about his profession of, and transition to the faith, principles and beliefs of Rastafari. Most doubtful is Bunny Wailer the only living member of the original Wailer. ‘ Excommunication is a religious censure used to deprive, suspend, or limit membership in a religious community or to restrict certain rights within it. Some groups use the term disfellowship instead, ‘ stated Bunny’s official release. With that said, this would surely deprive Snoop Lion from direct contact to some elders within the Rastafarian community also, access to vital information and place of wo...

Yes, it actually took place in Nigeria, Lagos, a city where everything seems possible. When Chinyere, 18, decided to leave her mother in Abia State and pay her father, John Awah, a visit in Lagos, she must have been longing for a tender loving care, which fathers give their children. But she surely did not bargain for what she eventually ended up with – steamy sex sessions with her father. Upon her arrival, her father was shocked to his bone marrow that his daughter who left him when she was a year old, had suddenly grown to a full girl, and he suddenly fell in love with her. Awah said: “I became attracted ...
