The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Chris Ngige says he has no confidence that INEC will conduct a free and fair election in Anambra State.
He made this known at the press conference held on Sunday morning. Ngige noted that indications already showed that the commission was planning to announce the PGA governor, the reason it went ahead to schedule election in 65 wards in Obosi which is his stronghold on a day of worship.
According to his wordse, the entire exercise was fraudulent, going by the fact that besides the lapses in his stronghold, the PDP candidate also had issues finding his name in the register.
He told journalists that scheduling election in Obosi on a worship day was an attempt to prevent people from participating.
Ngige recalled that his party had complained about the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof Onukaogu whose elections in 2011 were upturned by the court and his patty recorded victory in rerun elections.
Based on all the fact that there were issues everywhere in the state in the course of the election process, Ngige asked for a cancellation of the entire result, and added that anything on the contrary, his party would toe the line of litigation.

The candidate lamented over the current situation,
“This morning we sent our agents to go to the wards where the fresh elections are billed to hold, and when they got there, they found out that there were still no result sheets in the materials, yet they are bent on holding the election.
And added,
“We will not accept the charade going on in Obosi, and our party will take a stand soon about the entire election, and anything outside that, you know it will end up in the tribunal, appeal court, and Supreme Court.”
