According to Brazilian media, the video posted on Wednesday showed a girl of 16 surrounded by men who claimed she had been raped by 30 of them in Rio de Janeiro, which hosts the Olympic Games in August. In another case, a group of at least five men allegedly drugged and raped a 17-year-old girl in the northeastern state of Piaui. “Apart from the fact that these are young women, these barbaric cases are similar in that the teenagers were lured by their attackers in premeditated plots,” the spokeswoman for UN Women in Brazil, Nadine Gasman, said Thursday. “They were violently attacked in a context of illegal drug use.” The posting of the video by the attackers sparked a wave of revulsion among Brazilians ...

"PDP MUST TAKE BACK POWER IN THE NEXT ELECTION" SEN. AKPABIO

I am one of the leading lights who would revive the PDP. I have no intention to move elsewhere. I believe strongly in the PDP. I still believe that the PDP is the only truly national party in Nigeria. I also have a responsibility to Nigeria that the country must survive and move forward. Today, the choice of Nigerians is not about party but about President Buhari. Therefore my job as a Senator would be apolitical. I would support the president to succeed because his success is the success of Nigeria but at the same time, I would not lose sight of the fact that my political party must take back power in the next election.
