List of N-Assembly’s principal officers emerged from govs, not NWC- APC chieftain

BENIN—There are strong indications that the list of Principal Officers of the National Assembly that was said to have been compiled by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was after all the product of the governors of the party from each of the six geo-political zones of the country, where the seats were allocated. A source close to the National Chairman of the APC, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Vanguard in Benin, Edo State, that the mission of the eight governors, who visited Chief John Odigie-Oyegun a few days before the uproar that greeted the publication of the names of the Principal Officers was to deliver a prepared list to him. The governors who, according to the source, were led by Mr Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Chief Oyegun’s state governor, had assured him that the list of the principal officers as prepared by them was a reflection of the general choice of the party. Oyegun was said to have suggested that it would have been...

C-O-R-R-U-P-T-I-O-N: Buhari Orders Arrest Of Wife’s Brother

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Nigeria’s security agents to arrest his brother-in-law for allegedly extorting money from an unnamed businessman, a close confidante of the Nigerian leader told SaharaReporters. He said the suspect, named Musa Yola, was the immediate younger brother of Mr. Buhari’s wife. Our source disclosed that the suspect, also addressed as “Alhaji Yola,” reportedly received N300 million from a businessman after promising to provide his dupe with political access to secure an oil block from the Buhari administration. According to our source, Mr. Buhari personally ordered last Monday night that Mr. Yola be produced before him in handcuffs in the company of the businessman he duped. After telling the businessman that he was stupid to part with such significant cash when he should know that he, Mr. Buhari, would not participate in fraud, the president ordered agents of the State Security Services (SSS) attached to Aso Rock Villa to thoroughly investigate the scam...

Saraki Replies To APC Over Senate Appointments

Another sensational letter has leaked online. It is a reply from Bukola Saraki, the Senate president, to the All Progressives Congress over the scandalous appointments in the National Assembly. On June 23, the APC leadership sent Saraki a document signed by the party national leader, John Odigie-Oyegun. It contained recommendations regarding the appointees to the leadership positions in the 8th Senate. However, in mock polls held on June 24, APC senators voted for different candidates and, in particular, elected Ali Ndume as the majority leader of the Red Chamber. This resulted in a crisis deepening within the party. Ahmed Lawan, the preferred candidate who had previously lost to Saraki for the Senate presidency, rejected the results. However, on Thursday, June 25, Ndume was officially nominated. Saraki, for his part, was accused of moving against the party by not following its directives. Senator Saraki replied to Odigie-Oyegun. In his letter he explained why he acted in the way whi...

How I Got Delivered From Masturbation Addiction - Tosin Silverdam

Tosin Silverdam is the guy with feminine look that I have featured here a few times. He writes on how he got delivered from masturbation. Read below... I'm writing this to share my experience with masturbation addiction, because this has become a problem for many teenagers and adults, both male and female. I almost ruined my life with incessant masturbation, I do it 2-4 times daily. I derived pleasure in engaging in it not knowing I was making my life miserable. I started masturbating at the age of 16 after watching pornography and I wanted to know if I'm matured enough to ejaculate. I masturbated for good 7 years, i enjoyed doing it, it was quickie, i masturbate to ease myself when i'm restless, unhappy or tired. I was terribly addicted to it, i do it in the bathroom, in my room, or anytime i'm lonely. I enjoyed it most especially when i'm watching pornography, it was sweet, i didn't have a girlfriend, i was battling low self esteem. It was crazy, it was fun,...

Buhari Did Not Order DSS Out Of The Villa – Adesina

The Presidency on Wednesday denied rumours that personnel of the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) have been expelled from the Presidential Villa. A release issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr Femi Adesina, said the rumours were unfounded. “President Muhammadu Buhari has given no such order,’’ the release said. It, however, noted that it was true that a reorganisation of security at the Presidential Villa was underway. The release added that the exercise, which involved the realignment of personnel from various services, did not translate to the expulsion of DSS personnel from the villa. “The changes being made are routine adjustments which are not unexpected in any dynamic environment from time to time,’’ the release said.

Senate Summons NNPC Chiefs Over Refineries

The Senate yesterday resolved to summon the management of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to give detailed information on the state of nation’s refineries. The decision was reached during debate on a motion on fuel tanker tragedies on the nation’s highways. Sponsored by Senator Gbenga Ashafa of Lagos State, the Senate noted with serious concern, the spate of fuel tanker explosions on the highways. In view of the ugly development, the Senate observed one minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives in various tanker tragedies across the country and urged the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to hold regular training for tanker drivers as a way of installing necessary information and discipline in them. In the lead debate, the Senate observed that if the refineries were functional, all the tankers in the country would not have business moving from one extreme part of the country to the other to lift fuel as they would have been lifting from the nearest refiner...

Oshoffa’s 20th child, Olatoso, emerges Celestial Church’s new leader

The leadership tussle in the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide yesterday took a new turn as Reverend Olatoso Matthew Oshoffa emerged the new spiritual head. Olatoso Oshoffa, the 20th child of the late CCC founder, Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, is taking the seat vacated by his elder brother, Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, following a court order. At a briefing in Lagos yesterday, Olatoso Oshoffa said he had been ordained by God and elders in the church to be the new spiritual head and unify various factions. It would be recalled that an Ilaro High Court in Ogun State had on March 26, 2015, terminated the tenure of Emmanuel Oshoffa, under whom Olatoso served as personal assistant. Besides the CCC not allegedly making progress in 12 years of his elder brother’s reign, Olatoso Oshoffa said the court’s ruling “saddened my heart as the church was not developing in the last 30 years that my father had passed on and my brother also being removed as the pastor of CCC, worldwide.” Ex...

NASS ELECTION: Saraki’s ambition has resurrected PDP — Sen Kwankwaso

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso immediate past governor of Kano State in this interview with newsmen in Abuja gives his views on the crisis arising from the National Assembly leadership contest. Excerpts: By Kingsley Omonobi You were one of the senators at the ICC when the leadership contest started in the National Assembly? Honestly speaking, it was on the morning of that day that I saw a text message that we should go to the ICC, unfortunately for me I had so many people who came from Kano, so I was trying to receive them when I got a call that members and senators were waiting at the ICC. As I was moving out of Hilton Hotel, somebody called again that they were at the National Assembly and were just about to start election. So I diverted the driver, instead of going to the ICC I thought now that election was taking place, I said instead of going to ICC, it was more important for me to go the National Assembly and in any case I was sure that those who were at the ICC will not want to stay...

Buhari’s One-term Pledge Tears APC Leaders Apart

The pledge by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve only one term is responsible for the whirligig into which the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), and indeed the political class in the country have been thrown, the Daily Times can authoritatively report. If not quickly resolved, the intrigues may make governing Herculean in the next four years, as politicians of different ideological backgrounds are forging informal alliances. Two-time Governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Jimmy Agbaje, and former Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio recently paid separate visits to the Abuja residence of former Vice President Abubakar Atiku in what is believed to be linked to the politics of 2019. It was learnt last night that apart paying the APC back in its own coin, the decision of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to support any candidate put forward by the ruling party for the positions of Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, has seriou...
